Personally I like a nice red zinfandel or if I am in the mood for a sweet wine I will have a vouvre. Champagne is always good too, just choose an extra Brut so that it is not too dry.

Hmm. It depends. Are you going to be pairing your wine with food that you're eating, or just drinking it by itself?
With foods, generally if you have meats, you'd pair it with a red wine. Poultry, seafood you usually pair it with white. White wines I could like to suggest would be a Moscato and a Reisling. Too me both have a nice sweet flavor. Red, I'd go with a Shiraz. I hope this helps you out! Enjoy!

Try a sparkling wine like Asti Spumante or a not too dry champagne.
Or try Arbor Mist drinks, which are wine and fruit flavors.
You could also try Sangria, which is fruit and wine.
And last, you can order wine spritzers, which are wine and ginger ale or wine and sprite.

Perhaps a white wine like a Johannesburg Reisling, which is not dry, would be more to your taste. I'm not a dry wine person . Another not as sweet as the reisling is a white zinfandel which is actually dark pink in color.

curiously enough the cheaper stuff is probably going to be the best bet. White zinfandels, sangria, jug blends, etc are all inoffensive and fun wines.
The wine that kind of introduced me to "good" wine was Beaujolais. Light, dry, fruity, but still fairly complex and very tasty.

Reisling is the best to begin. Light crisp sweeter I have been a sommolier for 12 years and it seems to do best for people begining to discover wine.

I would suggest you buying Mead. It's hard to find but it is sooooo good. It's a honey wine.
I don't really favor much wine to begin with but had a glass of Mead and it is the only thing that I love.
