I installed PC doctor spyware and, after running it, it will not clean all the problems. Tells me could not clean all infections, 24 infections are still on your computer. Why?

try rebooting your computer in safe mode and running the spyware scan again.
most of the spyware cannot run in safemode so hopefully the pc doctor will be able to delete it.
if not, install spybot search and destroy from www.download.com and do a scan in safe mode.

there are various reason why it says that infections still were left behind after cleaning ur pc.

it could be...

*the spyware doctor u installed is recommending you to upgrade the free version into a "commercial version", in short, the one you should pay..

*you have no real spyware in your system, but what the software has tracked were just cookies (of low threat) and could do no harm at all..

*the cleaning done was just a surface process, unlike what spybot kill & destroy doing, or the spyware terminator, or AVGAS.

now, try install the 3 anti-spyware/virus I told..and your pc will be guilt-free.

Merry Christmas!

I am not sure if this will work but try booting your computer in to safe mode and then running PC Doctor. Also, make sure you disable the System Restore function (if using Windows XP) prior to scanning. Then turn it back on after you have scanned in Safe Mode.

They are probably running. You will have to shut them down before you can wipe them out.
