I joined Yahoo Answers in a serious attempt to try to help others by offering answers to questions that I am knowledgeable about, and to offer meaningful opinions too. I also enjoy some of the silly questions because we all need humor in our lives.
I find it bothersome, but I do my best to overlook the answers from people that are just plain rude and insulting.
I focus on the fact that I have made some wonderful friends here and I have learned about a lot of other life experiences and for that I think I am now a better person.

Maybe it is the way you ask the question(s).
It isn't a matter of stupid, just slanted toward a particular point of view. I'm not saying you do. I'm only saying that it is possible that you looking for support for your ideas rather than impartial answers.
When I see a really one sided or stilted question trying to elicit only a certain answer, I get a bit uneasy.
I have a tendency to want to keep from being manipulated into giving an expected answer.
If the question that is really partisan, one-sided or snotty I like to jab back a little with the written word.
Another thought: things written online sometimes seem inpersonal and aggressive that if they were said in a personal conversation body language or facial clues would modify our interpretation of the message.
Good question, is this an unemotional, impartial answer?

I'm really sorry! I am a sahm and I understand how you want the attention of your husband at the end of the day. Sometimes a whole day can go by with very little adult contact and all you want is to talk to someone who understands you, who will give you their full attention, and who will have conversation back.
My husband and I had a talk about this tonight actually. Sometimes I feel like my husband isn't listening when I talk to him. I will ask a question and get no response. I will talk about a subject and halfway into it I feel like I'm talking to myself. My husband said he is stressed at the end of the day from working all day, then having to come home and immediately be a dad. After the kids go to bed he is tired and it's hard to then give attention to his wife. It's not an excuse but it is an explanation. Maybe your husband feels that way. I hope things get better!

I can hardly believe you'ld ask such a question. I wonder the same thing myself sometimes. I can only guess at an answer and it would be insecurity. People afraid of dealing with their own weaknesses and finding it easier to agress people who can't really expose them on the net.

i have asked this question before....possibly more in a rant form cus i was pissed at the time. but i 100% agree, people answer questions as though they came on YA specifically to judge otheer people. i think it IS easier to answer things with a more harsh tone than you would if you were talking to a REAL person because you can't see the other person react. you can rudely express your view on the question without facing some hurt person. i i think alot of people do come on here for a little power trip. i always request that my answers are informitive...not acusational. people get mean for NO reason.

i think of maximum all and sundry is patriotic -- no longer basically individuals. The French are patriotic, so are the British, the Dutch, the Israelis, and so on. maximum individuals get up for his or her worldwide places, and that i do no longer think of there is something boastful approximately it. that's what patriotism is. And, mutually as I agree alot with what you reported, that does no longer mean that u.s. isn't nevertheless the right u . s . a . obtainable. the reason of this? Our shape, that's a residing rfile, changing simply by fact the circumstances substitute so as that it would not ought to be discarded. And, the main mandatory issues any u . s . a . could have, freedom of religion, freedom of the clicking, loose speech, and the marvelous to vote.

Yes, they also piss me off and sometimes I write them sarcastic e mails. Those people you mentioned, I don't understand either how they respond very angrily and very meanly for a light and honest question. I almost think they are responding to you personally rather than objectively. Probably they have so much insecurities and they want you (or me in this case) to think low about myself or doubt my own abilities. It's like misery loves company. There are some people like that here.

I sometimes answer sarcastically to stupid questions. Some people only deserve sarcastic or stupid answers. Those that treat this site as a chat forum generally receive a sarcastic reply from me.

Ignore the arrogance. they think they're better than you because you are a stay home mom. At the end of it all, you have the answer to your question. No question is a stupid question

People do it because it is pretty anonymous so they can say those things and get away with it because of that. Just expect some of those type of responses to questions and ignore them. They are not worth getting upset or annoyed over.
