I want to join the Army because I know there are a lot of hot guys there. Is this a really bad reason to join the Army?

If you turn out to be a good Soldier, I don't care what your reason was for joining.
But if that's your reason, I doubt that you'll be a good Soldier.

Yes it is a very bad reason. There maybe some goodlooking guys there but alot of them are already taken. You will sign your life away for a specific period of time and may get killed before you get back home. The training is tough, you have to be tough and if you end up in Iraq, you will have little time to think about a relationship. More like keeping yourself and your company alive in unbelieveable conditions. So think long and hard young lady . You have to be truly committed to the job at hand to make it in the armed forces. That is not a mate hunting ground

Yes, that's a bad reason to join. Being in the military requires huge responsibilites and obligations, if your just trying to join to find a guy the military isn't the place to do it.

yes it is. You would be one of those people bitc%in and moanin because you got sent to Iraq or had to do something that perhaps you didnt want to do...you would end up blaming it on the government, when really you would be to blame because you were being shallow......SO, unless you are patriotic and fully understand the responsibilities that go along with signing a contract, I suggest you do not join, but instead live near a post.... :)

Why join? You could just move near a base and on payday weekends you could offer your services. You get to have fun, serve your country (sort of) and make some cash!

What if you get assigned to a duty station where there are no available "hot guys"?
