I answer this as a Christian, however, you are referring to the infinite regress. Christians, as you said, claim that nothing comes from nothing and so you make a very logical and valid point. As we keep going back, we can keep asking "so who made...the big bang...God...?" This answer, admittedly, is one that is far beyond my comprehension. As a Christian, I believe that this question is one that humans try to grasp but are unable to. We are thinking in very finite terms, yet the universe is very much infinite. The Bible teaches that God is, always has been, and always will be. With our understanding of time, it is incomprehendable to us. We can always go back to that question. Personally, my faith is such that I believe that while I cannot understand the answer today, I will able to on the last day. That probably does not give you the answer you were looking for, however, it is the only answer I can give. It's not logical, but then again, faith is not logical. By the way, I see other reasons to believe in God other than the old "nothing comes from nothing" argument. His fingerprints are everywhere.

Wow!!!!! You have broken this think wide open. Christians must be fools!!

Dude, we are not ment to understand everything. God is the Alpha and the Omega. This means he is the Beginning and the End. What do you want a digital picture of God to admit defeat. Best I can do is the occasional sighting in a pancake, cheese sandwich or cloud.

There is this little thing called faith that requires that last illogical step. There was enought evidence in the world around me (besides just the bible) to take my step.

You cannot make something come before something timeless or eternal. God is not a physical entity bound by the laws of nature, and he is not bound by time so nothing can create him and he needs no creator. Everything physical needs a cause. If a person just appeared in my room out of nowhere it would be impossible, but if God did it I wouldn't question it at all. You'd expect God to be able to just be there without a cause. He's God.

Actually it is science that says you can't have something come from nothing. So when atheists claim God is a fairy tale because he had no way to begin, the same is said of science's version of the beginning, Big Bang. One response deserves the other. Both are equal in explanation. Both require faith and are completely unknown.

That's true. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. But God is something. God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. God was not created. He is the Creator. It is Him that created everything. God is able to take nothing and make something of it and plenty. WOW! Isn't He incredible?

Why is it so hard to accept the fact that God always was? You, in your finite knowledge cannot understand an infinite God. You are the offspring of your parents, they are the offspring of their parents, etc etc. All humans are offsprings. The reason nothing 'caused' God is because He was the one who invented the 'offspring system'. You have a creation mindset because you were created. That is all you know. But He invented creation. So you can't include Him in something He manufactured.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

He is the A to Z, He has always been.

"christians said nothing comes from nothing"? Really? Citations, please.

Origin of God? That's what's called a true mystery. Something that we certainly aren't capable of comprehending.

God is without beginning and without end. The question who made God. who made what made God, Who made that thing....... Could go on forever. Things had to have started by someone. That someone is God.

God is. And God will always BE. He IS. past, present, and future. He is TIME. Your mind cannot comprehend the nature of GOD and TIME, since it is finite. Basically God IS. He was not created. Our minds would never grasp the full meaning of " being" and our words cannot describe the full meaning of "to be".
