A friend of mine introduced me to a boy she knows because we have some of the same interests, and so he got my cell phone number from her. We live pretty far away from eachother so he texts me a lot, and recently he has started saying he likes how I'm "energetic," and even more recently said I remind him of a girl he is in love with. He's said "I love u" a few times...and I just don't know what to make of it...he said he loves that other girl, and he's not saying he likes me...yet he says he loves me...I'm not incredibly interested in him, but I want to know what to make of this whole thing....does he like me or what?

He sounds immature and tosses the word "love" around without really meaning it. He certainly doesn't know you well enough, and possibly doesn't know the other girl well enough either. If it were me, I would stop texting with him, and find someone that lives closer that I could have a real relationship with.

He might be playing on you.
When it comes to relationships, texting, internet, phone are nothing like the real 3D and being with the person.
Your info is through a filter. It's just words, you don't hear a tone of voice, or see any body language.
Don't believe him.

Well you can't really tell unless you meet in person. Guys will text stuff like that to girls they don't know well because they know it won't be taken seriously, and because it's easy to have good thoughts about someone who exists mainly in your mind! He would probably be much more shy in person.
You shouldn't pay too much attention to it.

he sounds very strange to be honest. i'd ask him about the whole "i love u" thing....it's just a little weird and if you're not all that interested, i'd move on and not even respond to his text messages.

thats the kind of guy you should stay away from. he could be like a cowardly guy set out to 'try' out new things. he maybe just want to experiment & see if he can get you and then he'll have his ego boost.

it sounds like he really wants to love someone, and at this point its whoever comes a long.......I would be careful with this guy he seems clingy!
