When Kahne got into a confrontation with this guy.. he should've handled it differently. Being a d**k to a rent-a-cop that's already being a d**k to you isn't the answer. That's why Kasey is who he is, and that other gimp is a rent-a-cop! Kahne had a moment of stupidity (often called a brain fart here in Texas) and he will have to pay for it unfortunately.
(Kahne should've punched the guy.. A punch or a shove lands you in court)

When asked if he was trained for that type of situation,in the last part of the interview.. He stated,he wasn't expecting that kind of behavior....... YEAH !!! Out of Kasey Kahne that is !!

I agree the guy smells fishy!
I still don't understand why the big deal over such a small amount of money! $15,000.00 by the time the Lawyers fees and taxes get paid, it don't amount to much! If they settle out of court it should be for less.
Unless the lawyer for this guy wants more to settle it out of court. Sometimes Lawyers know that the person ( Kasey ) doesn't want the negative publicity! This will be settled out of court and we will never know the amount that was paid! Could be more than the original suit was for! If he takes it to court then we will know everything, but if he wins in court he will only get a portion of the 15,000 dollars!
I'll beat he never works at a Nascar event again!!

The article on Nascar.com says 4 police officers (not security guards) immediately cuffed Kasey because they witnessed the event.
If there are 4 officers willing to testify Kasey had better start apologizing and trying to get this settled or he could face jail time.

It sounds kinda shady if you ask me but I wasnt there and didnt see it. Kasey doesnt seem like the type of person that would hurt anyone on purpose. My wife and I met him at Texas Motor Speedway and he must have had a line a half a mile long wanting to take pictures and get his autograph and stayed there til it was time for him to go.

"Kasey and I left the Busch garage heading to the motorhome lot. We got stopped at the gate and the guards said that we need our credentials so I started to get mine out and Kasey didn't have one because he just got out of the race car. He was still in his drivers' suit," Kale Kahne said.
"They said they don't care who you are you can't come in. Kasey said I'm going to walk to my motorhome [and] one guard [Hutchinson] got in front of him and grabbed him and said that you're not going anywhere and Kasey pushed his hands off of him and the guard lost his balance and fell to the ground."
That is the statement of Kasey's brother Kale who was also present. (NASCAR.com) They are even saying the man is suffering emotionally. I've said it before, asking a driver (in his firesuit nonetheless) for his credential is like stopping Brittany Spears and asking her for her backstage pass. Seriously!
