It is very dangerous to set a limit. It tempts people to drink up to that limit, and someone will die.
Let me explain how they figure doses for drugs (And alchohol is a drug). They feed the rats or whatever increasing doses of the drug until a given level, in mg/kg of body weight, causes half of the test subjects to die. That dosage level is called the LD50, and it will cause half of the group to die. But lesser values may still cause some deaths. There is no such thing as a maximum safe dose.
Blood Alchohol Content is measured as the percentage of alchohol in the blood. 0.40% is generally considered to be the LD50 for alchohol. Note that that highest concentration allowed for drivers in any country in the world is 0.08%, and many countries have much lower limits.

This Site Might Help You.
RE:
How much alcohol will kill someone?
I found this website that had a calculator that determined how much alcohol would kill you based on how much you weigh, and your height.
If someone can find me the link, or an equilvelent website, i'll give you BEST ANSWER points.

you could drink lots and lots, bottles and bottles, but the main factor is how fast you drink the alcohol. If you chug it down through a funnel at a party, for several minutes, youll probably pass out/fall in a coma/die. But, if your just sitting sipping on wine, a couple glasses wont hurt you. (much, alcohol is poison) Also, girls tend to get drunk much more easily than men do, by some complex chemicals that vary in gender to blame. Another factor is how much blood you have, if your a midget youll probably die much faster if you chug down beer through a funnel, while a huge buff guy has lots of blood, so it will take a while for his blood concentration level to rise.

It is different for everyone based on all the things you mentioned. I searched for a site myself and couldn't find anything. The best I could find was legal alcohol limits for DUI's and so on.
All I want to say is you could be a moderate drinker who never drinks too much but drinks constantly. My husbands uncle died in May from drinking every day in his life. He was only 43 I believe. He passed out in his bedroom and woke up in a puddle of his own blood. The rugs, tapstry, and bedroom set all had to be replaced at how bad the blood came out.

Death may occur at .37% or higher. BACs of .45% and higher are fatal to nearly all individuals.
examples of .37%:
7 drinks in one hour for a 100 lb female
12 drinks in one hour for 140 lb male

As far as alcohol goes, it very much depends on any health conditions you have (particularly with liver), your weight, your gender (I think women get drunk faster).. but I did find a website that does every sort of caffine and energy drink in existance so you may be interested in that... http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine/

find your own link...everyone is different and those caculators do not take into account if a person has become 'accustomed' to drinking, ie. is an alcoholic, etc. it also doesn't take into consideration if someone is made massively sick by alcohol, therefore, it might not take as much--especially if they are taking medications they should not be drinking with. but for obvious reasons, i will not help you find the website. so sorry.
