Catholics are 1/100000 out of all the denominations you'll find in christianity. Lets put it this way, you take a whole basket filled with mixed fruit, and each fruit is considered christianity despite being completely different fruits.

Matthew 7:16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles"?
Matthew 7:20 "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them".

And what is the fruit that is to be seen in a Christian?

Gal 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another".

Are Catholics Christians? . ...... if individual Catholics trust Jesus, and Jesus alone, for their salvation, then they are Christians! Here is an interesting link. 'Catholic' means 'universal' - ie: the universal Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (the ecclesia, the called out ones). What this particular questioner is asking about is the ROMAN Catholic church. For more interesting information, follow this link.

I do, but I'm neither. I'm a Pagan. Catholicism is just one, the first sect of Christianity. They're highly ritualistic, which is out of vogue today, especially in Protesting circles, but most religions throughout time have been ritualistic. They serve "Christ" therefore are Christian. Just like Protestants, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and all the others claiming to be Christian sects.

yes thru the belief in Christ the saviour. The facts that christians worship differently has nothing to do with a differing god. It is all the same God the Father the son and the holy spirit. The holy trinity. And as I said before try to disprove any facts stated, all the top minds have and still christians preach the same belief. No disproff has happened, in fact many facts have been proven over time. Like Noah, and David, and well on and on.

No-We're called Christians after Christ. Catholic,Catholicism, the term universal, etc is nowhere in the Bible.Catholicism is a religion based on traditions of man, not God.

Catholics who are BORN again, are Christians.

But if they are trusting in their own efforts, such as, praying the Rosary, going to Mass, confessing to a priest who is just a man, crossing themselves, etc. they would not be considered Christian in God's plan, they have to accept the work of Christ on the Cross as their only means of forgiveness for their sins...nothing else will do.

If the Catholic church is the only true church, explain why the Catholic Church persecuted Protestant believers during the DARK AGES?

Let a 40 year deciple of the Apostle John answer this question for me.

"Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains [i.e., a presbyter]. Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church" (Letter to the Smyrneans 8:2 [A.D. 110]).

"Wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."

Yep, I say we are Christian.

Catholics are Christians

Well, do Catholics worship Christ? Yes. Believe in his divinity and resurrection? Yes. Believe he is the savior of mankind and son of God born through virgin birth? Yes. Were they the first Christian church? Yes. Do they have the Bible? Yes. All of these things points that Catholics are as Christian as you can get. Don't listen to what anti-Catholics say who know much about Catholicism as I know about chemistry (none).
