Depends...You using a courier company? Delivering it yourself? Or using USPS?

Couriers, depending on thier size, or possibly distance between pick-up and delivery points can be as little as under an hour
For yourself, it would depend on how long you wanted to take to make it there... ;)
As for the USPS...I'm in Canada, and I used to play a PbM game called "It's a Crime!" I was playing on the once a month. Here was the timeline. I drop it in the mailbox before 1700. Pick-up is shortly thereafter. By about noon, it's in the air bound for Toronto (Main Branch of the CPS) The following day it is sorted and on it's way back to Perason International for the trip to NYC. From there, I don't know the time-line, but the return trip was two weeks to my door, based on the date stamp.

So, from upstate NY to Main Branch of the USPS to Toronto was 11 days...on a trip that had they personally driven it to Toronto in about 3 hours, and then to my door, again, personally, in three days of 10 hours at a stretch. :D

It may take a day to get a letter from a post office in NY to a post office in NJ. It will take another day for delivery to a destination.

NYC? To where? Newark?

By rail? Car?

I lived about 25 miles west of NYC in NJ and it generally took about an hour by either train or car.

It depends on where in NY and where in NJ but it shouldn't be more than 2 days.
