Oh yes. I was raised Presbyterian, and I have been told several times by others that I wasn't a "TRUE Christian" (whatever that means) since I have moved away from Christianity.
Whatever. When the myriad of Christian denominations can agree amongst THEMSELVES what makes a "true Christian", THEN they can come talk to me and tell me whether or not I was one.

I'll be insulted to be told I'm a christian today, for I was called an atheist at the time when I was a christian 25 years ago.

I'm a Christian, I've been told by several small minded people that I am not a Christian because I'm married to an atheist.

You bet!
Even Paul had been told so by those pharisee type christians.
Just stay clear of those pentecostal and baptist type christians because they are the meanest type of christians you could ever come accross to.
Just remeber that CHRIST saves and not any kind of "christian" community.
The bible mentions 7 types of churches in the times we are living in and those churches I mentioned are classified as churches that lack of love and close their doors to the ppl and the bible says only JC can close or open those doors...
So just find yourself a better church.

Heck, I'm still a Christian, and it happens every day around here. You see, I belong to that horrible Mary-worshipping, idol-genuflecting, the-Pope's-better-than-God. . .Roman Catholic church!
And there are a whole group of dear, sweet, tolerant folks around here who regularly tell me and my fellow Catholics that we're not Christians. I sure thought that was Jesus up there on the Cross at the front of every Catholic church. And for the life of me, I can't remember singing a hymn to Krishna or Buddha.
But just toss out the question "Are Catholics Christians?" and watch the fundamentalists come out of the woodwork to tell us that they know more about our church than we do.

Exactly the opposite: people keep thinking I'm a Christian when I'm not.
Same thing happens to Jesus every year: people seem to keep thinking he's Christian and not Jewish! Poor guy.

Yes, I was raised Catholic and told by friends that they are not true Christians. But I became a Happy Wiccan and all is right with my world.

I still am a Christian. I've been told I can't be because I'm gay (by people that go to another denomination). I've never been told that at my church, and I am happy there. Go Lutherans woo
