I AM NOT AT THE AGE OR EVEN CLOSE TO GET BIPOLOR DISORDER, SO PLEASE DONT ASK ME MY AGE OR EVEN TRY TO SUGGEST THAT!

I hear voices at night and I end up wakening up and covering my ears. I am also very paranoid. I have to tell my self sometimes that this is reality and what’s going on in my head is not real. I also have to listen to music constantly to make the voices go away. i have had some traumatic experiences happen to me in the past. Am I crazy or something?

Not all people who "hear voices' are psychotic. See, www.hearing-voices.org (a UK org.).

If the "voices are in your head like your little friendly thought voice but definitely not that or of a different gender or multiple voices and/or hostile then you might be hallucinating. Not all people who report hallucinations are diagnosed as being mentally ill. Look up "hallucinations" in Yahoo! web search for more info. Wikipedia has a good summary.

If you persist in having trouble with the voices then you might have a disorder needing treatment. There are effective treatments. Contact your GP physician for recommendations.

Good luck with your "voices", good mental health, peace and Love!

You might have PTSD. Symptoms of that can include paranoia, the fear that something traumatic will happen again. But, using the word "crazy" to describe having a Mental Illness is a little offensive to me. I have a MI, but I consider dangerous people as the "crazies," not people who get therapy and take meds and stay stable. Good luck with finding a good therapist to help you feel better.

It could be post traumatic stress disorder, which includes nihgtmares and flashbacks and stuff. Or you might have psychosis, which is like shizophrenia but more common in younger people.
