It's a nice name, but it's also a very common name for male dogs. At the boarding kennel/shelter where I work, there will be 4 Jakes boarding over Christmas, plus one in the pound.

Love it! I had a dog named Jake quite a few years back....he was a mix of black Lab & something else. Looked mostly Lab & was all black. Hope yours behaves better then MY Jake did....he ate & destroyed everything. Major seperation anxiety whenever we would leave the house. But....I loved him anyways. He was a rescue dog. Best way to do it. They all need loving homes.
