The book of revelation does not give a year. The Bible specifically states that no one knows the day or time but the father. I doubt if God was handing out the year if He wasn't planning on giving us the date. People in the 1800's were so sure He was coming back at that time, some of them actually killed themselves when they found out they were wrong. They had given up all their belongings and were just waiting. When it didn't happen, some of them didn't have the will to go on. I think that is why we aren't suppose to even attempt to pick a time.

No, I don't believe that year to be accurate. :-)

EDIT: haha, just noticed this is in Jokes and Riddles... I guess the jokes on me because I thought it was in R&S.

You can say that a generation is 40 yrs, 70 yrs. 100 yrs. or 1000 yrs. In Gen.2 :4 It speaks of the generations of the earth In Gen.5:1 It also speaks of the generations of Adam. Now concerning this man you mentioned, He is wrong 100% about 2060, The Milliennium will be here way before then. We rae looking right now where Israel will get all their land back & build the temple, & what many calls the the Apocalypse is none other then the 3 1/2 yrs. of the great tribulation, That war is Eze. 38 & 39 The end of all wars. Once is Isreal gets her land back, there will only be a 7 year period, This man you speak of do NOT know how to read & interpretate scriptures. And Daniel Prophecy is not out of line, Daniel's prophecies are right on time, Don't look for 2060 as the endtime, It is just in front of us maybe a few shorts months Or maybe a few yrs. But I won't give it longer that 4 yrs. & also If this man thinks Daniel prophecy according to him that we will have another 53 yrs. Then He also will have to do away with Revelation, I have always said, That Daniel's prophecies & John the revelator prophecies goes hand in hand. & alos ONLY THE BRIDE will understand it, Revelation is a love letter to the bride of Christ, The religious world will never understand it, Only the bride will. Now back to the subject of this generation, God is speaking of when Israel becomes a state as they did in 1948 & also let's back up little to the Holocuast Back in the 1930's. The generation that sees these things take place, that this generation will not pass until all is fulfilled,Meaning there will be some that wittness these things that will still be alive when Daniel's final week starts or it is also known as Daniel's 70th. week. I have always said that if someone can not take Each scriptures & line it up with God's word. then it is useless for them to go any further. Therefore I will give it within 4 yrs. Give or take a few months.

Every prediction for the end date for civilization have one thing in common: they've all been wrong (except the dates that are still in the future -- and those will be wrong too). They're all based on what amount to nothing more than fairy tales.
