Wow, I didn't expect so many great responses. I have to get my bible and check out some of these sloppy paraphrases. Answers forthcoming.

okay, your first one makes no sense. your second one: It clearly says, "no plant had *yet* sprung up" implying the seed was still in the ground. Implying that the seed was existing: it just hadn't sprouted yet.

it continues to say that no man was alive to cultivate the ground thus making the already created seed grow. he charged man with that responsibility.

Sure:
"No man can see God in the flesh and live."
Moses (and others) saw God in the flesh.

I think you have your work laid out for you.

Some advice says---
"Most importantly, stick to talking about God's plan of salvation (John 14:6). Don't chase rabbits! If you do not know something, just tell them you'll look it up and talk to them about it later. Make sure you stick to the good news of Jesus! "
I don't allow this. There is no reason to exclude the OT. Unless, of course, you can prove the OT to be all lies. If you do that you will need to give up Geneses, Adam and Eve, Garden of Eden, Noah and the Flood, The Ten Commandments and so much more.
Jesus Christ is only one event and His speaking acknowledges the OT. He turns over the money changers tables because He sees the people falling away from the teaching in the OT.

It's illegal to be married to more than 1 person right?
"Do not disgrace your father by having intercourse with any of his other wives." Leviticus 18:8
I don't know if this contradicts anywhere, but I think it's hilarious.
"Don't keep company with female musicians; they will trick you." Sirach 9:4
Why are Catholics against divorce?
"If she won't do as you tell her, divorce her." Sirach 25:26
"Dreams, divination, and omens are all nonsense. You see in them only what you want to see." Sirach 34:7 (Well the bible is FULL of visions, so why put them in here if they're nonsense?)
This Sirach guy was a really nice fellow wasn't he? :)
"You can use harness and yoke to tame an animal, and a slave can be tortured in the stocks ... Work is what he needs. If he won't obey you, put him in chains." Sirach 33:26 & 28
Edit: Hey, what's with all the thumbs down??? If you don't like the quotes then blame Sirach! He's the guy that wrote them, not me!

How many languages were there before the Tower of Babel was built?
There was only one language.
Genesis 11:1
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
Genesis 11:6-9
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one
language.... Go to, let us go down, and there confound their
language, that they may not understand one another's speech.... Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:
There were many languages.
Genesis 10:5
By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands, every one after his tongue.
Genesis 10:20
These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues.
Genesis 10:31
These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues.
Let the justifying begin.....................

Genesis, Chapter Six
19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
Genesis, Chapter Seven
2 Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
So, how many is he supposed to bring along? Look, Noah was 600 years old when this happened, so you need to keep those instruction pretty simple, OK?

Try one of the many that deal with love and reconcile that with Exodus 22:18 "Thou shalt not permit a witch to live."

Agreed, there are no contradictions, only misinterpretations or contextual errors by our inferior minds. I believe that God is just a little smarted than us, and that it takes a lot of indepth study (and yes, faith) to truly begin to understand the big picture here. Merry Christmas!

Whattle is on to something. Sounds like GOD is talking about two different events, doesn't it. HE is, you have to read the entire old testament and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to guide you through it before it starts to make sense. If you don't ask the HOLY SPIRIT to lead you through the BIBLE, IT will never make sense.
