The Bible does not teach that there is a one-to-one correspondence, one G.A. for each of us, but the angels (collectively) have been given "charge over you (plural)," to keep us in God's way. We ask God to send His angels to protect us. This reassures us in times of fear or doubt, such as we all feel. Praying to the angels would be taking the central role away from God.

This is the only place that talks of guardian angels. They have GOD's attention (face)at any given time.

Little ones also can mean "few in number" as the election.

Mat 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

We should pray to GOD, not angels as some religions teach.

That every individual soul has a guardian angel has never been defined by the Church, and is, consequently, not an article of faith; but it is the "mind of the Church", as St. Jerome expressed it: "how great the dignity of the soul, since each one has from his birth an angel commissioned to guard it." (Comm. in Matt., xviii, lib. II).

I rode motorcycles in Los Angeles on the Freeways (the City of Angels, by the way...) - for almost 30 years. And I'm still here to talk about it.

I can think of no other reason except that my Guardian Angel took the handlebars sometimes.

If you are talking about Christianity then no we shouldn't pray to them. That is making them your God. Instead you should say something like, "God, I ask you to surround me with your Guardian Angels to keep me safe...."

If people have guardian angels, they don't seem to be doing a very good job... perhaps some of them are narcoleptic?

I think if you prayed to them you would have to be stoned to death for worshipping a false idol.

Neither we should kill them so they won't intrude on our thoughts. A free mind is a healthy mind.
