what i belive is that you cant get an abortion if it was an accident.....unless you are under 18, got raped, or if it is a life or death situation

Non-religious for me, lol.

Birth control...yes, why not. With rising populations these days, this is a matter of population control without denying anyone the pleasures of sex.
Abortions? Yes...I would rather die in the womb than end up in an orphanage, the child of abusive or irresponsible parents, or end up in some way unloved or disadvantaged. Parents have legal control over children under age 18, and if the condition is serious (luekemia, brain disorders, etc.), I would also request an abortion, but this should be done safely and all situations must be examined and approved legally and by doctors before ANY abortion be allowed to take place! ^^

I'd like to see the people that said no have a unwanted pregnancy in the most inconvenient time of your life. Then see what they think.
You don't know till you have been there.

I got pregnant when I was 16, that was the scariest moment of my life. I didn't get an abortion but I can definitely see how it is right for some individuals. Even though I choose to give birth I am having a hard time dealing with raising a baby because I truly was not ready. Though if someone does not have financial aspects to have the baby what are they suppose to do? Do you know how much it costs just to get that baby out? Especially with out insurance, even with it is a lot of money.

In my case it was not rape but I was definitely taken advantage of. I was 16 and completely impressionable. Sometimes I think consent should be at age 18. I know I was not ready to make the choose to whether I wanted sex or not at 16. I didn't really know what I was getting my self in to.

So I say yes to both. Though abortion should not be taken advantage of.

I think birth control is different cause in a way you are not bringing a child that is unwanted at the time. Woman have always used "tricks" to keep from getting pregnant. Abortion is a choose like killing is a choose. I don't know about abortion cause I think it's wrong, but I've never been put in that position [and hope not to] so I really can't say.

Yes and yes.. although I don't think abortion should be grouped together with birth control. I'm horrified by the number of people who resort to abortion as a form of birth control; that's just pure laziness and apathy. Incidentally, I'm not sure where you're getting this "hips could not support the baby" mumbo jumbo, but I agree that abortion should definitely be an option for rape victims.

Absolutely. Birth control is obviously a good idea.
Abortion should be legal because women will always have abortions, whether they are legal or illegal, but when they are illegal, they aren't safe and women die. Countries with the harshest laws against abortion also have the highest rates of abortion. Making it illegal doesn't save any more babies -- it just hurts more women.

Not every girl who gets raped would die from a pregnancy, because a girl/woman can get raped at any age.

In terms of abortion, I don't agree with it because it destroys a life. But, do I want abortions to become illegal. No way. Making an abortion illegal would create more problems than it's worth.

i think that birth control is not only right but necessary and should be mandated for people who are on welfare for more then 6 months. it should also be mandatory for any girl under the age of 20 just to give them a chance to get a good start in there life with out accidentally getting pregnant. I think abortion should continue to stay legal. when i think back on the horror of back room abortions I am sickened and disgusted. but I believe that there should be a three abortion limit and on the third one you mandatorly get your tubes tied because your to stupid to make him used a condom or remember to take your pill.

Birth control should be available to everyone. It should be provided for those who can't afford it. Including the morning after pill.

Abortion should be legal. I am pro choice, emphasis on choice. Don't don't think that abortion should be used on a whim. But there should be no restrictions on first trimester abortions.

I work in a police department in a medium-sized city with a very large (insert here "enormous") population of working poor.

Unfortunately, as a part of the culture of this city is an underlying belief that the more children a woman/girl has, the more "wealth" (welfare) she has.

Adding to this problem is the idea that the more children a man/boy sires, the more of a "man" he is.

You tell me what is better.

I know.

I think both should be allowed. I am pro-choice, which means all choices and those certainly fall within that range. Do I like the idea of abortion, no. Would I ever have one, no. However, it is not my right to let my conscience make decisions for others. Keep everything legal and safe.
