Those that lack the willingness to lose everything, will surely go away sad, and grieved.

Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Mark 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

I would not give up Christ for "material things"! All things come from the hand of the Father anyway! If people are included in this, I would still not give up Christ for people! What is my life without the Lord anyway? We have to die to self every day and take up our crosses and follow Christ! Whatever hardships are ahead, the Lord will see me through!

what are we going to lose?

1. Our lives? To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
2> Our wealth? My father owns the cattle of a thousand hills
3. Our position or title? MY name is written in the LAMBS book of life.

God is a debtor to no man. What ever we lose in his name we regain many times over by our service to him.

Yes. I would give it all up for my Lord and Savior. We Christians have a way of finding each other. I'd live on the streets and never deny Jesus.

Earthly life is only once! Heavenly life is ETERNAL. So, yes, I am willing to lose it here so I can gain it there! What's more beautiful than the treasures of heaven and forever being with God?

If one wont be willing to give up everything for God, then they arent truly a born again Christian. Jesus made the total sacrifice for us, by dieing on the cross for us, and remember He didnt have to, HE CHOSE TO DIE FOR US. Who are we to give Him any less?
And you know what, if we have the whole world, but we have not Jesus, we have nothing at all. This world and all the stuff in it is so temporary. Only life with God is eternal, if we will live for Him as Jesus lived for us.
God bless you for the question. When we are truly born again and have allowed God to transform our mind and give us the nature and mind of Christ, we will live as Jesus, speak as Jesus, and die as Jesus would die, and consider it all JOY.
Anything less is just saying you love God.
I always say not only What would Jesus do? But also ask this. What DID JESUS DO? WE can give no less than He gave for us, and count it all as joy. Did you see Jesus on the cross, whinning and sniffling and comlaining?? NO NO NO>
His whole sentiment was GOD FORGIVE THEM< THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO.
HE wants our full heart, not just part of it, just like HE gives us all of His heart.
Who are we to give Him any less than He gives us??
To buy our way into Heaven?? Not hardly, that isnt possible.
To make brownie points with GOd/ NO, that doesnt work either. But we love God and obey Him because He loves us and we love HIm the same way back. Its our pleasure to bring Him joy, and all of our love and faithful obedience as The Faithful servant He has created us to be.
God bless you for the question. Nice to see others that will give their all for God still, and not just offer so much lip service, as we see so many do today.
Yes, I love God, but I can still go out and beat up ppl.....
you know what I mean, that attitude of I , its only me, I I I I I.
When you live for God, its not about you, its about GOD.
Run to Jesus today... Not much time left folks.
God bless all of you who seek. You will find. God promises if we will seek Him, we will find Him. He isnt hard to find, its just that so few truly look... HALLELUJAH TO GOD BE THE GLORY. For everyone that finds Him, HE made it possible.

Yes, actually I've lost everything more than once. And if I did again I'd still want to be a Christian (and an American).

I just read Mathew 10:39 last night. It really made me realize that I need to give my entire life and soul to the Lord Jesus to have what I need, want and desire. His desire's will become mine.

I personally know what's it like to lose material things and have to start all over from scratch, but the most important thing is that I still have Christ. I know what it feels like to have family members disassociate themselves with me because of my love for Christ, but I still have Christ. He is my everything! He supplies all my needs and comforts me in times of trouble! Praise His Holy Name!!!
