I see something spiritual not only in rain, but in all kind of nature manifestation. Rain washes away and helps the seed to grow. Wind whisper in our ears words of love. Sun warms up our hearts, bringing joy. Moon watches over us, bright and wise, like a mother. Rivers feed the Earth. Ocean gives us the idea of eternal, infinite and peaceful. Stars gives us direction and tells us ancient stories. Clouds bring us promises of a better future. Thunder and lightning are the conversation between the sky and the Earth.
God is in everything, everything is poesy and everything is spiritual to me.
Peace!

I find thunderstorms comforting as well. I think part of that was actually how I was raised. When I was little, and the big thunderstorm would come, my whole family would go sit on the big front porch and listen to the rain and wind and watch the lightning. It's kind of humbling.

Me! When I was little we lived in a house with a tin roof and no insulation. Rain on a tin roof is the greatest lullaby in the world. Just remembering that sound makes me feel safe and secure.

ooohhh... me too. The more loud and violent the better. There is something inexplicable soothing in all that power that no human has anything to do with. I've never been able to articulate my appreciation (for lack of a better word) for the intensity of nature.

I love the rain too!! When it comes down on me its like I'm all clean and new. Mom always told me to come in out of the rain but I never listened (never died of pneumonia either).

"And it is just a box of rain,
I don't know who put it there."~G.D.
I always did love a good storm, so long as I was under shelter on land.
On the waters is a different story.
