my heart rate has been really high because i had not been taking my daily meds (prozac and zyprexa)..i started taking them againyesterday and today, i just took my zyprexa and my heart rate is still 120..and im really anxious about taking the ativan..will i b ok?

the doctor just perscribed me the ativan because of my heart rate

Yes, take the Ativan. That's WHY you were prescribed that medication.
I also get a high pulse rate without medication. I take a beta blocker though.

Maybe your heart rate is high because you're nervous, not because you haven't been taking your drugs.

Smoke cigarettes. They calm you down don't they? I doubt ativan would be any better.

yes, take the ativan. it has helped me on lots of occasions when i have panic attacks. it will help calm you down and that should help slow your heart rate closer to normal.
