Is it weird to have a fancy wedding...but only one attendant on each side?

We're thinking about 150 guests and a catered reception in an old mansion....but we only want our sisters (he has one, I have one) to be our attendants...will this look strange? Our parents will be processing in with us too...

Thoughts?

I think that sounds fine. No one ever said you HAD to have multiple bridesmaids or anything. It's really up to you.

PS: I'll be doing this too so I understand.

Hey, that can't look any more weird than my wedding...we had 7 guests at our wedding and 2 of those were our attendants. It was a little weird being in the chapel and having only 5 people sitting watching the ceremony but hey, it is exactly what we wanted...it was wonderfu!!

It sounds like you have a great plan. With a large number of guests, caterers, and so on, not having to worry about bickering and settling silly issues with attendants will take a big load off your shoulders!

it's not weird, it sounds simple...which is very elegant. I had 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen and even though I don't regret it, I still think it was too much. Go with whatever you both want. It will be less stressful and you have the 2 people that you KNOW support you.

We are doing basically the same thing, 175 guests, I MOH, 1 BM, 2 flower girls. I think it will look just fine.

Hi. That sounds fine! There is no rule of how many attendants you have to have. That sounds perfect to me!

That is absolutely fine. I think there is nothing more annoying than 10 frilly bridesmaids floating around. It makes it more focused on YOU! :)

Perfectly fine and totally acceptable.

Its however many you want to stand up with you, whether it be none, or ten!
