I think you are asking about furosemide (Lasix)
Alternative medications include metolazone (Zaroxolyn) or hydrochlorothiazide (hydroDIURIL) which are both available in pill form.

Other types of diuretics include thiazides, potassium-sparing, and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. I'm pretty sure they are all administered orally.

But lasix (furosemide) is BY FAR and away the most effective!!
