I have serious back problems and tempurpedic has really saved me. It almost eliminated my siatica and pinched nerve, and it helps keep my hips and neck in alignment. I am so glad I found it so early in my life. I plan to take my mattress to college and onward. My physical therapist has really noticed a difference as well. It also makes it a lot easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. I have to admit that it is hot in the summer, but other than that, I couldn't ask for more. If you are uncomfortable on your bed, you might want to consider it. When at the mattress store you should lay on the bed for a good fifteen minutes before making the decision. Consumer reports says that people generally feel the same about a bed after 3 years as after 15 minutes, but in five minutes you really can't tell much. I know it feels awkward but it is worth it. Anyway, that is my take on it.

I have had one for about two years now. I am actually thinking of getting a new mattress. Tempurpedic is novel in the beginning...it feels very different...soft...and it is quite comfortable. The Sealy Posturpedic is just as or more comfortable (in my opinion).
There are several problems with Tempurpedic:
1. Because it is foam, it is very hot in the summer.
2. It is VERY heavy and difficult to flip.
3. I thought it would help with my back pain, but it hasn't.
4. It is very expensive.
5. It is covered with a fabric that has a grain in it...you have to
remake the fitted sheet every day because it shifts when
you sleep on it.
I think they have a 30 or day trial period where you can return it if you don't like it. I thought it was ok for about 3 months and now wish I got the Sealy.
Just my opinion.

I've had a full size Tempurpedic for a bout 3 years and I'm looking for a new bed. It was nice in the 1st year but now I feel like I fell down the stairs the night before when I wake up in the morning. I guess it really depends on your size/shape/health but I know I'll never get another one. And the price is RIDICULOUS. There are other companies that sell the same for cheaper.

So i've got seen each and each of the advertisements and went to a save that sells many makers and varieties: salesguy mentioned to take each and each of the time i needed and check out each and each of the floor samples. i replaced into all torqued for the tempur - until eventually I have been given on it: they're dazzling - the concern moulds to you.......I sunk in, it felt delicate yet then it replaced into very perplexing to flow/exchange positions......i did not like it. So i ended-up with a Vera Wang (Serta?) that's in many situations used foam, not memory foam, with a pillow precise. this is great: as delicate because of the fact the tempur, yet you do not sink in and you will flow around. own style, i assume. i attempted the familiar ones, yet replaced into somewhat searching for some style of froth on account that neither the dirt mites or the bedbugs can get into them. value: must be a 1000% mark-up on mattresses.....and somebuddy is procuring each and each of the temper, elect-convenience etc. advertisements. i'm not a solid bargainer........I went in and asked the salesperson while they have been going to have a floor pattern sale on account that i could not arise with the money for to pay the checklist expenses. He cut back me a deal precise away: down from $1600 to $1200 introduced (queen length).

Since I sell bedding, allow me to offer my opinion.
You sleep "in" a memory foam bed since it reacts to your body heat and conforms to you. Some people find it difficult to change positions in a memory foam bed.
Some users have reported sleeping hotter than on a normal (innerspring) mattress.
I suggest you try a latex bed. When you lie down on a latex bed as you press down it pushes back, allowing you to sleep on it, not in it. Latex gives excellent spinal alignment, has very little "motion transfer" and is preferred by approximately 49% of the people in Europe.
Both Sealy and Serta offer versions of the memory foam bed as well as latex beds.
Spend at least 5 minutes in different positions, especially in your normal sleep position, on each bed before making a decision.
EDIT
You do not "flip" a memory foam mattress. In fact, most all mattresses made today are one-sided and can't be flipped.
