So I realize that I just don't care whether god exists or not. I would put a strong pascal wager bet on the "god doesn't exist" side, but it doesn't mean much, as I can't prove it. But I can settle the issue very easily.

I just don't care if there's a god, and if he exists, I don't want to be part of his project. I read the bible and every other page made my jaws open. My moral values find these readings appalling, so I decided that even if your god exists, I just don't care. So he can wipe me out of existence, end of story - issue settled.

Anyone else feel this way?

Second that! But I think the odds are in my favor- to not be wiped out.

Well, minus the anger outside of humour (since they derive from the same source).

Open a book on Buddhism for shits and giggles. They don't believe in either scenario - god existing or not existing, either way, they both require "belief" and Buddhist just don't like "Believing" in things.

I have always found "What is God?" to be a far more provocative question than pondering the existence of something undefined.

You are entitled to your opinion, but why do you think any one else cares? see that's the problem now, everyone feel like they have to let the world know about their belief or lack of. If you are that strong in what you believe in, why do you feel you have to tell the world, if no one ask you? Just live and let live.

Congrats! I also find what's in the bible an outrage. I shake my head at the "that's the OT, things changed." But then they say God doesn't change but still loves us.

No thanks.

I feel somewhat the way you do. I strongly feel as those a god doesn't exist so that makes me an atheist. However, if by some strange fluke there was actually a god...I wouldn't worship him anyways.

The reason anyone believes in anything not seen is based on their faith.

And that's what free will is all about. May you always live in a country where this is possible.
