I worked at Hooters and to tell you the truth guys that come in and flirt with you and all that good stuff are not taking you serious. Honestly I respect any women who works at Hooters because I know how hard the job is, so don't worry about the pervs that come in. As far as the guy goes that you like if he has a prob. with you working there tell him that you get paid more money there than anywhere else that you could work(I made $100 cash tips everynight plus whatever tips I got from credit cards), plus it's a fun job. Honestly don't worry about what people think. When I started at Hooters I had a boyfriend that I wasn't that serious with, and I was scared about how he was going to take me getting a job at Hooters, but he actually liked me having a job there(he could come see me at work plus check out all the other hot chicks in the place, so to him it was a plus that I worked at Hooters). Me and that are still together, we live together, and we are even expecting our first child. So you never know. Don't think that somebody is going to judge you because of the job that you have.

BIG YES, Hooters objectifies women as a way to draw in male customers. I'm not criticizing, just stating a fact. Anyway, I guess it depends on the guy also, if he is a clueless, brainless, pig, then he won't care because he doesn't take himself seriously. If you are an intelligent girl and want men to take you seriously, then find somewhere else to be a waitress.

Well to be fair, you're making the most of what the man upstairs gave you! I don't think people should judge you just because you can use your body to get a job, it's not like you're a stripper. If I had the chest I'd consider it! Bloody good tips!!

Last time I checked, they wore very little clothes and tried to be friendly. They did nothing inappropiate.
If your guy has issues, you may want to move one to a new boyfirend.

Hopefully he is not so shallow. It is a job, it does not define who you are.
