i cannot decide weather to buy a ps3 or an xbox 360 i might buy a ps3, maybe, if i can use my ps2 controllers on it because i do not like the ps3 controllers very much.
if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you can buy a PS2 to USB adapter. But Dualshock 2 doesn't have motion sensor. That limits you to a certain level. Motion sensor is quite fun!

yeah I have a pelican controller adapter for the PS3. Its awesome! Every button works the same as a ps3 controller should...and as an added bonus the adapter makes the analog button on the ps2 controller like the PS button like on the ps3 controller that brings up the XMB. mine is old (came out before firmware update v.2.40 which has the XMB in game setup) so when you press it it only brings up the menu with "quit game shut down system" etc. but im sure there is a newer one that has fixed that. plus it works on my computer too, i can play super nintendo emulators with it and set up the controller how i want and it works perfectly. you can get them used everywhere for 5 bucks. and fyi a new sixaxis controller =50 bucks, a dualshock 3 is 55 bucks.

yeah there is somthing you can buy that will make your ps2 controller work on your ps3, sadly you will not have the motion sensing of the sixaxis remote
