I remember painting the camo patterns on the trucks in 76 ( I think). Would be difficult to paint this new pattern,
Something I'd like to see how its done

no the new uniforms are suppose to help with infired ( special reflection) the vehicles have to be a nato approved pattern ( ie woodland, deset tan, olive drab) due to a part of our treaty with other nato countrys the vehicles have to identifiable from a long distance as a friendly force. The individual grunt does not

Most trucks are Tan or Green
Both Tan and Green are in the new Army Cammo
I don't think we will change truck colors.

I agree with the above answers. It would be too hard to paint the pixels, and that type of paint isn't really durable.
I never really thought about that, but I think that might actually look pretty cool on a Humvee.

No idea. One would assume that it would be a heck of a lot harder to paint that type of camo pattern on a vehicle.

i saw it once, it was a demo hmmwv for recruiting, it was ACU stickers that matched up the quarter panels. it looked pretty bad. i asked the recruter if the army is actually going to do this, he said as far as he knew no, that's why it was stickers, so they could be pulled off and restored to woodland.
