Where is the cheapest place to buy bullets? I found them for 6 and some change at Wal-Mart (for 9mm - 50 pack). How about online? I see cabellas.com has them for 84 bucks for 500 which comes to 8 something for a 50 pack. i'll stick to wal-mart. I can't find any other places that sell bullets online. Anybody know?

Thanks in advance!

You should learn to re-load. You can make your bullets for pennies on the dollar. Check out www.midwayusa.com They have everything you need for reloading. Plus they also have bulk bullets for sale at good prices. As the other fellow suggested, be careful the kind you get. Remember a good bullet isn't cheap, and a cheap bullet isn't good.

Yeah. Wal-Mart. Blazer Brass in the black box is the cheapest 9mm ammo I've seen. That's what I get for range ammo.
Personally, I do a lot of comparing. Storefront versus online. If you want some pretty good deals on bulk ammo, Gunbroker has plenty of them. Just enter "9mm 250, 500 or 1000" and you'll get plenty of hits.
Better get what you can now, because January 1st of '08, AMMO PRICES ARE GOING UP AGAIN!

WalMart is cheapest for common handgun ammunition. You can typically find rifle ammo cheaper at sporting goods stores though. And if you don't mind shooting surplus ammo a gun show is normally the cheapest. If you need sometihng like 5.56x45 sporting goods stores are normally OK, although you can get reload ammo at gun shows. Surplus 5.56 is kind of rare. 7.62x39 has almost no surplus left, BrownBear and SilverBear have good ammo at a good price if you are OK with steel cases.

both of these sell ammo at a decent price, you have to pay a lot to ship ammo since it is so heavy though.

For pistol, I would just stick to WalMart. It is a cheap source and it is consistent.

I have never seen BULLETS for sale in Wal-Mart. They do sell ammunition. and they are rather cheap. Look at cheaper than dirt.com for some cheap buys.

Walmart so far. 100 rounds for 15.67 or something for 9mm
23 or so for .40 and 26 for .45ACP.

If you buy on-line the shipping costs will cancel out any savings you might think you are getting. Shipping explosives (yes ammunition falls into that category) is expensive!
