you go in first. you kneel and then fatehr will say "name" tell me you sins. tell your sins. then he will say "IN the Name of God i clense your sins" or something like that. then he will ask if you are truly sorry for what you ahve done. Finally he will say a prayer and he will tell you to repeat this when done with confession. it's not that big of a deal but confessing to God or Jesus is the best thing you can do.

a guy or woman can pray to God privately and get carry of forgiveness for venial sins, purely like attending Mass and receiving the Eucharist forgives the comparable. What Confession forgives is mortal sin, that can't be forgiven in deepest prayer. you could additionally undergo in ideas that as quickly as you partake of the therapeutic sacrament, you're confessing to the Holy Spirit, no longer the priest. The priest is the minister of the sacrament, however the flexibility of absolvement comes from the Spirit. you could additionally undergo in ideas that no longer something revealed to a priest in Confession would properly be revealed, considering that clergymen are sure by potential of a seal of secrecy. additionally, a solid confession in basic terms takes 5 to 10 minutes. purely recite the checklist of issues you have achieved incorrect, and consistent with possibility problematic on some in case you sense the will, yet Jesus already is acquainted with each and every little thing. i wish this facilitates, and which you nevertheless get carry of the sacrament. Confession is an act of God's limitless loving mercy. you're making His heart smile once you confess. God bless.

Confession is pretty low-key. You enter the confessional, kneel, genuflect, if you like, and say "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been (X amount of time) since my last confession." Or, in your case, you wauld tell him that this is your first confession.

The priest will ask you to explain what's troubling you--it needn't necessarily be a sin. Once you have done that, the priest will give you a penance.

If you have a good priest, the penance will be something sensible that is related to what was troubling you. A mediocre or inexperienced priest will give you something idiotic, like ten Hail Marys.

Once that is done, the priest will say something like, "Te absolvo." or "I absolve you of your sins. Go in peace and sin no more."

You genuflect or perhaps pray with the priest for a moment, and then leave so the next person can come in.

I agree that you should definitely tell the priest it is your first time. You should also look to see if your parish has any brochures on confession that can help you. They give the order you say things, and some even break down the 10 commandments to make it easier (you'd be surprised what is considered a mortal sin, and you may not have even thought of it that way).

well the catholic has their ways,
but scriptures said, you can do it anywhere, and quickly.
when we sin, it open the door spiritually.
of whatever that sin is..and sometime it grows, and bring on depression..or pride
or lust..of any sort...or fear..compounding.
1John 1:9 thereabout.
our ABBA/daddy loves you..us.
sins as said..give evilness in our mind.bldy..spirit..at home..or personality..
anyway, sin is pretty serious..with GOD.
that why a quick repentance vs a month or years!!
unforgiveness ..bitterness has been proven to bring diseases.
on your knees at home, repent of every sins, 10 years ago..to today.
get rid of it all.
THEN..ask for the blood of JESUS
to BLOTTED OUT the SINs curses.
and that it..you are free.
NOW give thanks, praises..worship the LORD.
there are lists of sins in the bible.
i would say everyone of them..adultery(spirit and thought)
robbery (spiriutally and ?)
on and on..
GOD get glory when we humble self.
that why in sort it's a robbery, GOD want to heal us..and prosperous us.
KJV bible 3john 1:2.
in book of ROMANS 5 tell great truth you'll need to read it yourself.
about being made RIGHT with GOD thorugh the shed blood of JESUS. forever.
YET..if we deny christ..they oh oh.
it's not forever.
anyway..Christ is our SPIRITUAL HUSBAND.
satan is the adulterer we follow when we sin ..that why i said what i said.

this truth will made you free.
GOD LOVE YOU..before you were born.
the closer we get to GOD
the better we know GOD's will.
healing is our rights..HERE and NOW.
Isaiah 53, written in past tense
as well peter said of it in chapter 2:24.
we're made righteous before GOD by our faith that Jesus is the son of GOD.

If you have to got to confession then you have good reason to be embarassed. If you ask any of those priests they'll tell you all kinds of reason why you need to confess. But before you go to confession and tell some person about your guilts, you better get over it yourself. Otherwise you'll be an embarassed old soul until and after you die. Try Zhae if you want to free yourself of man-made shame.

Just tell the Priest that it's your first time or that you haven't been in a while, and he'll be happy to talk you through it. It's nothing to be scared of...you'll be fine.

And when you're done...forgiven!!

God be with you.
