With the modern athiesm in today's society and loosely flowing christians I am pretty sure most would say yes. Personally I would do it, because it isn't immoral because you are bringing yourself closer to your grandma through a white lie, which shouldn't really be considered a sin. Regardless of your philosophy on what a sin is or not. Overall there is more good in it than bad.

I don't just believe in God, I know there is a God in heaven. I know there is a Jesus Christ. I know there is life after death. I know the bible is true. If we all lived by the bible, it would be a perfect society. The prisons would be empty, we could take the locks off our doors and leave our money on the dressor. No one would cheat us, steal from us, want to hurt us or kill us. There would be no rape, not beating of anyone, no police necessary. Taxes would be low because of all of this and . everyone would be extremely wealthy. Also everyone would drive nicer and there would be fewer accidents, no drunk driving etc. Oh and no lawyers needed.

I kissed a potential million dollar inheritance goodbye because I refused to kiss my ex's butt. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did such a thing for money. Bring on the thumbs down, but I have my principles and I can't be bought.

Good question!
How big is this inheritance? If it were $100,000+, I might consider it. But I'd have trouble sleeping at night. So maybe I wouldn't.
Thankfully, both my grandmothers are atheists so I don't have to worry!

Depends on whom the inheritance would go to otherwise.

It's easy to believe in god when you believe you are part of God. Tell her you beleive, but don't give your soul to her. If you do, then other people will own you after she dies. That's why organized religion is so powerful.

You bet.

I have to pretend to believe all the time for less than that.

Gantz, I've always liked your grandma.

If I did that I would probably feel very guilty and in the end find no pleasure in the extra money or myself. So, even if I needed that money I would have to stay true to myself.
