There are many atheists who believe that the universe contains a component for some existence after death.

I am not among them.

No god, and no consciousness without biology. Therefore, no life after biological death.

Life after death could mean you are decomposed until you transform into some electrons that carry's "memory data" that floats in this physical universe, when that "blob" of energy gets into contact with new born children, since children are receptive to information, they can recollect "past lifes" that have nothing to do with who they are in this life, that why there's are incidents across the globe where infants speaks in other languages(they've never learnt before) recalling events in another past life of someone else that is not possible for a child of their age to comprehend, but it makes complete sense to adults - That is one explaination.

Another thing is, besides "life after death" concept, you can also have reincarnation like in buddhism. so translate that into scientific terms again that would mean you're energy would be transformed into other objects like dust molecules, or vapor in the atmosphere, or if lucky enough a big part of you might be recompressed into a bird gliding freely in the air, your energy isn't just "gone", it has to be somewhere still existing in this universe, only in another form, according to 'law of conservation of energy'.

there is God, but there is no life after death. death is the end of everything, so once you are dead, how could you possible have life again?

Ecclesiastes 9:5
"For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten."

Look, God is real. So that means if you don't start believing in Him b4 u die, that "life after death" will be Hell for you! And not just a figure of speech, you will be in Hell.......forever burning in fire with Satan himself laughing at you and people screaming in the background begging to get out or for a drink

I don't know if the mind transcends the body at death but if it did, it would be a natural occurrence untethered by superstition. There may be a "life" after death but, it has not been documented.

Not necessarily. Just look at Buddhism. Just realize that the lack of a god does not necessarily mean that souls do not exist also. Afterlife and deities, though one may be connected to one another in dogma, are actually ideas that are not directly related to one another.

Why does God need to exist for the spiritual to exist? That makes no sense what so ever.
