If you were alive in the days of the cruxifiction, and you knew why Christ was going to be crucified, and you understood the reason and theologic design behind it, could you hammer the nails in?

No, I would not be able to. I would not be able to live with myself. I know Jesus would forgive me, and I would end up in heaven that way. But knowing that I directly killed Jesus and will be spending eternity in heaven with him is too much for my conscience.

Well, I know why I would be doing it, so that He could die for my sins, but still....it would be very hard. I don't know if I could. I guess Jesus was saying the same thing...This is a very cruel way to die, but I love my people, so I shall do it.

Are you against current day capitol punishment? Crucification was simply the capitol punishment of its day.
