If you could have met Jesus, what do you think he would have been like? Do you think that he would have dscriminated people because of their sexual orientation, or skin color, or anything else? Do you think he would want to kill people who did wrong things? Would he have said that only certain people could preach the word of God, or forgive your sins?

If Jesus was as great as Christians say he was, then he'd be the most accepting and kind dude around. It amazes me that they say he was so great, but only some of them can find a way to accept people who are different, aren't they supposed to be trying to be like him?

So Very Happy You Asked....Jesus was in Fact very kind and Loving but did not Beat around the Bush and Meant Business every step of the Way. Simon of Cyrene was an African Jew ( Get an Ancient Bible Map, Cyrene was in Africa)...Women absolutely loved Him as demonstrated in Matthew Chapters 27-28 unto Death. Women were the First to go to the Tomb, despite the Threat of Death. .Women adored Him, He was and still is Loved in Return for His gallant efforts to help and guide the women in Phileo love of His time which was out of Step with the Culture of that Day and in some places of the World women cannot be seen even talking to a man she is not married to! (Saudi Arabia for example, Iraq/Iran)

Jesus also warned that there would be times in History that men would Kill you and think they Do God Service and called them Snakes, Vipers and Hypocrites. He was Not Politically Correct either and called a spade a spade. He's My kind of guy A Real Man....John 16:2...Acts Chapters 2 &10......Jesus is not prone to Discrimination as People do, He had No tolerance of sin...Matthew 10, Matthew 18, Matthew 24 and especially Romans 1, Leviticus Chapters 17-19, Deuteronomy 28, Exodus 20...and Paul reiteratted the Old Testament and Jesus said He did not come to Change the Law, But to Fulfill it....Matthew Chapter 5:17, Revelation Chapters 1 and 22.

So there You have it....

There are writings other then the Christian Bible that attest to the existance of Jesus, even the Qu'ran.

His being born into a Jewish society, and being on record as being open to associatiing with the outcasts, I suspect that he would find some way of helping people cope with the problems associated with sexual orientation, skin colour, and all the other issues that get the bigots yelling and screaming.

Going on what we have in the bible (and who knows how accurate it really is), I'd guess that Jesus of Nazareth was a pretty nice guy who had a lot of good ideas. I doubth that anybody can be that much of a prick and still have as great a following as Jesus did.

I'm guessing you'll have a few responses from atheists who like to try and insist that he didn't even exist, and I suppose nobody knows for sure...but the majority of serious scholars of biblical history tend to think he was a real guy.

A crazy, bleeding heart, Jewish, hippie. It went like this. As "the son of god" he was able to do anything including time travel. So at some point before meeting his disciples he went forward in time and met another Jew by the name of Karl Marx. Jesus learned all he could then went back to 29 BC and began his teaching thing.

He was a counter culture hippie from the Galilee. With rage against the power structures of the day and a feeling of self importance that he thought he knew what was best for people. He probably had some charisma- but not too much, as his following never got very large. (you'd think it would have been bigger if he were a real god, no?)

He was dead broke and envied those who had money. Therefore his values towards wealth were very negative and claimed to his followers that they should give away ALL of their possessions.

This question is nice because it makes me think about Jesus and His life. I read this beautiful Bible commentary that said, "Love for God, zeal for His glory, and love for fallen humanity, brought Jesus to earth to suffer and to die. This was the controlling power of His life. This principle He bids us to adopt."

So, his decisions all showed a love for God, a yearning to show us God's character, and a love for fallen man which includes all of us (red, brown, yellow, white, ...) . . . . Would He run around killing people? No, we see that in the Bible, He came to save. . . He is in heaven right now working to motivate us to choose Him (Heb 4:15) and to strengthen and sanctify (clean up) those that have chosen Him. He told us all to be disciples (Matt 28:20). But, He did mention that we are to only confess our sins to God who only can forgive them (Luke 5:21). We are to ask our brother for forgiveness if we have injured him but, we are to confess our sins to God.

God bless,

JESUS would be of no reputation
and quit normal

YET SPEAK with athority the TRUTH and WISDOM
OF HIS OWN WORD

NO DISCRIMINATION -He would have said as He did
ALL that come to HIM must believe He is , and those who
was living and abiding in SIN would be LOST
Just as He did then , He doesnt change, He would still tell you the SAME !!!
And HE was the ONLY ATONEMENT FOR SIN
no man here on earth can do that . HE DIED and laid down HIS OWN LIFE , and HE FULLFILLED THE LAW
and HE and HE ALONE IS OUR PREIST
and HE TELLS US ALL
TO PREACH HIS GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE
TO ALL THE WORLD !!!

AND TO WITNESS OF WHAT WE HAVE SEEN AND HEARD OF HIM

JUST AS THE PROPHETS AND APOSTLES DID BEFORE US, so MUST WE be about OUR Fathers business.

Why not read what he was like? It's right in the Bible.

I believe because the eyewitness testimony of Jesus life, ministry and miracles recorded in the gospels is convincing to me. Read them for yourself and see if they're convincing to you.
