In most states you can purchase a firearm from a private individual without any paperwork being filed. I would not sell a gun to anyone without proper ID and I always have them fill out a bill of sale which includes a disclaimer that they would be allowed to legally purchase that firearm from a retail dealer. There is no state where a retail dealer can sell a firearm without the proper paperwork and background check.

Non legally. The only way to buy is black market with no paper work involved. It also depends on the state ,in N.C. for example it is perfectly legal to buy from an individual without any ramifications from the state or the feds.

As far as I know, In the Great State of Texas, no paperwork, names, numbers are necessary for private firearms sales. Optional but not mandatory. Just the almighty $$$ and that's that.
The only time such info is required is only when someone is purchasing a firearm(s) from an actual FFL holder.
YEEHAW! Ya'll need to move to Texas before the new AWB comes into effect;)

Not in the USA, not legally unless its a one-to-one sale (you know, individual seller to individual buyer) however, this is not wise as the purchased gun may be stolen or may have been used in the commission of a crime. Now you are the proud possessor of evidence in a crime!
Best.
