Yes and did and married her. As long as neither of you demands the other gets a new set of beliefs. A lot of people want to control the partner. My partner and I are very far apart on religion. At one point she wanted me to know that I was wasting my time. However, she has given up. We have been married 8 years with no arguments. We talk about everything except religion and it is a wonderful life. There is no controlling, no jealousy, etc. If you see any traits in an individual you don't like, back away. They will expand and multiply. My first marriage was to a very pretty girl. I discovered too late she was a Jekel and Hyde personality. I should have gotten to know her better. If I would have known the realy her, I would have ran as fast as I could

Absolutely. I think it's fascinating to learn others' cultures and how they think differently. Even if you don't feel the same as the person you are dating, it is important that you respect each others views.
It can be a lot of fun.... I know from experience.

My wife's Catholic, and her father considers me the Anti-Christ.
We've got plenty of different political views.
As long as you can accept their differences as what makes them what they are, and you love what they are, those sorts of things generally don't have to get in the way unless you consider them to be more important than the person.
Which for religious reasons, is completely hypocritical as they aren't supposed to judge people, and they are supposed to have love for everyone.
Hypocrites like the scum who have just said that non-believers are automatically wicked.

Yes, i could..(within reason) I couldnt date a satanic person or an atheist, it would conflict with my believes too much.. Political view is not a big deal at all. Im always open to a good debate when it comes to that.

I dated an Iranian guy for a while and our different religions were not a problem, but the cultural differences were.

Religion, certainly, but politics would be a fight. I need to be with someone liberal. Disagreeing on points is natural, but if we are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum, it's just not going to work.

those are pretty big differences, it could cause a lot of problems in the relationship. there are plenty of things outside of politics and religion that can lead into those kind of discussions, sounds like trouble to me.

Yeah, but we'd have to agree to disagree and make a pact that we won't disrespect or try to convert the other person. If nothing else, we can agree not to go there in a conversation.

religion depends. if the person is a different branch of christianity than me, sure. but i dont know if i'd be able to have a future with someone who has completely different beliefs.
political opinion...sure. and you CAN discuss it. there is nothing wrong with healthy debate as long as it doesn't destroy your relationship.
