Couple basics:
Sacrament of Holy Baptism
Sacrament of Holy Communion
These are two of the 3 places (the Bible being the 3rd) that Lutherans meet Christ. Baptism is the true rebirth as a child of God, through His grace. It is nothing we do, strictly something that God does to us. Holy Communion is the True Body and True Blood of our Lord and Savior, in, with, and through the bread and wine.

For more than that there are several resources. The first is from the LCMS, and gives some good info on many different protestant denominations. The second is a great chart, but you will have to scroll down quite a ways to get to it.
