im an american and also oddly enough i live in chicago where that show is taped i live like a 15 minute drive from nbc tower where they film it i can see it from my back porch and ill let you in on a little secret that most people here in chicago have known for years

99 percent of the people on that show are paid to act that way and most of them are actors i actually knew a guy who was a pro wrestler and he was on the show and paid to act like a food addicted slob

in 96 springer was investigated for tax evasion cause scripted shows are taxed and talk shows are in a different bracket and he admitted yes we are a scriptted show and had to pay back taxes

maybe some where down in the hills of virginia maybe people act like that but i know for a fact and have known for more than 10 years that springer is entertainment only

oh and the wmen in the audiance that flash people are strippers from the admiral theater

The guests and audience of Jerry Springer are often actors, paid to make the show what it is.
Most Americans believe in being good to others, and in helping when they can. Like any other group of people, some Americans are bad in some way, but most are not.

And very few of us agree with George Bush.

I would be tempted to believe that this is not a sincere question but my family who live overseas asked me the same question so I will go ahead and answer:
Definately not...a lot of the people on the show are, as many people have already pointed out, actors, and even those who are not are encouraged to exaggerate their stories for the entertainment of the audience.
I will say one thing though...people in the U.S. are overwhelmingly NOT like the people on Jerry, but Americans are more likely to air their dirty laundry publicly than people in other countries.

Yes I live in America and NONONONO all Americans are not like that, Alhamdulilah. A lot of what you see there is staged and the people are paid to act that way.

As for this answer "Americans here in New York are nothing like that..." ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Um, apparently you are a bit sheltered... I know plenty of NYers who could easily be on Springer for the lives they lead.

I live in America and most of the guests on Jerry Springer are from trailor parks in the South (where George Bush is from funnily enough)
Americans here in New York are nothing like that...

No, hardly anyone in usa is like that, honestly that show is staged, not even the people on the show are like that, the show is just made for stupid entertainment. Logically, who in the world would take their personal life on national television, especially a life like THAT?
