I had my head down the other day in class because I was feeling dizzy, when my teacher put her hands on my back and started shaking me because she thought I was asleep. then she started prodding me on my back with her pencil. She dd both of these in an "agressive" form. I had the flu that day and I havent been to school since then but i'm going back tommorow. i heard i can get a complaint form and fill that out but i was wondering if I could do more then that. Like so they would fire her?

Take it one step at a time. First I would talk to your teacher. Explain that you were not feeling well, which is why you had your head down, she very likely did not know. Explain to her how you felt about the interaction, it left you upset, feeling hurt (injured), uncomfortable, however you felt. Try first to come to an understanding with your teacher. You may be able to come to a completely satisfactory resolution just by talking it out. Although it is very important that you approach this in a non-confrontational way.

If you are not satisfied with your teacher's response then it you may want to approach and administrator, like your principal. Again you need to start this contact in a non-confrontational way, don't start off with, "I think she should be fired." Explain the incident and how you felt and explain how the discussion with your teacher went and why you were not satisfied. Your principal may want to talk to the two of you together or may simply make a note of it and you won't know what the outcome was. Very likely the principal will discuss the situation with the teacher.

It is important to remember that teachers are people too. She may have had a lapse in judgement in how she dealt with you or simply may have been angry and over-reacted. By discussing it with the teacher and if necessary the principal you bring the event into the open so that if it is not the first time something like this has happened there will be documentation of the event.

It is possible for teachers to be fired. If they are un-tenured they are usually at-will employees (though this varies by state) which means they can be let go at any time. If they are tenured then the administration needs to show that there exists a problem, give the teacher and opportunity to improve, and then provide proof that they haven't before they can be let go.

I think that you will find that this can be easily be resolved by calm, non-confrontational, conversation. Give your teacher the benefit of the doubt, most of us (I am a teacher) are good people. But, there are some less than stellar individuals out there.

Yea, I think your teacher was just seeing what was up with you. She probably thought you were sleeping in class, which is inconsiderate. Be careful. You could get a teacher fired that shouldn't be.

I think you already said it "you don't like her" "you want her fired" etc, etc.

I think you should rethink your position and maybe get out of that class before all this backfires on you. You could be the one hurt.
I would have done the same, thinking something was wrong, prove I harmed you, whose your witnesses.

Like I said, get out before your the one hurting.

No, your teacher is in a union and it is basically impossible for them to be fired, especially when they really didn't do anything wrong.
