You are committing a logical fallacy called "False Dichotomy". It's either open-minded enough for you or ignorant. There are degrees of being open minded. One could be so open minded that they are willing to believe in ludicrous ideas.

One can be open minded yet still ignorant on a number of topics.

I wouldn't BE an atheist if I wasn't open-minded. I came to it kicking and screaming.

I think that because they stand on "reason" and "objectivity" they pretty much have to be open minded. Honestly, it's the religious bunch that fears knowledge.

No seriously. I try to be open minded about anything, but my beliefs are based on things that can be proven.
