The Bacardi is cheaper but which one is better? Also,Havana Club VS Bacardi 1873, who wins that taste battle. What kind of Dark Rhum do you recommend?

I didnt know havana club wasnt sold in the USA. I guess its cuz the whole cuba thing. No wonder Bacardi is made in puerto rico! lol

Havana club is the real thing ,its made in Cuba,where's that Bacardi made?probably USA?1873 is nice ,but Havana has a unique taste,there are at least 3 levels of Havana club and the top one is a like a fine scotch[should be enjoyed by itself]if i had to recommend a rum it would be Bacardi 8,it's made in the Caribbean unlike 99% of barcardi products,i have never served it to someone who didnt say "wow,that good/nice"my other recomendation would be gosling's bermuda black seal rum,it's consistantly wins worlds best rum.

My goodness, who cares; if you can get ahold of some Havana Club rum, by all means, enjoy it! Like Cuban cigars (or any Cuban good), this rum is illegal in the US due to the trade embargo.

Havana Club is great. better by far. Too bad HC isn't allowed in the USA.

It's a matter of personal taste. It is also a matter of how you'll be using it. In a mixed drink, or for cooking, you do not need the most expensive liquor.
