Although convenience makes it with water but does hot chocolate taste better with hot milk?

I too make it with soy milk. I used to drink it with water, but hot chocolate with milk (soy or not) just has a thicker, more filling feeling when you drink it. The water version tends to be "thinner" and now I feel like is drinking chocolate flavored water.
I used to drink it with hot water when soy milk wasn't so readily available.
Usually one packet of hot chocolate powder with chocolate soy milk does it for me. I'm not a fan of syryps. Or marshmallows or whipped cream.
Now you've made me want some hot chocolate...

I make it with half boiling water and then pour (soy) milk over it to cool it. The mixes usually have powdered milk in them already unless it's a really cheap one - it gets way too rich if you don't use at least half water.

Milk. Nestle powder mixed in with hot milk. Or just go to Starbucks and let them serve it up. :)
