You don't know that !! Why would you put actions into someones lives, when you don't know diddley about what our Religions make us feel like ? What is your hang up ??? Your messed up and don't know what your talking about. If I were your Instructor or Professor, I would suggest you take a few more years in the Class of Religion. You don't know diddley about Faith or Religion. Keep your snoot in the books, someday you might get it right.

Hmm, the religion I follow would probably offend everyone as it teaches me to follow myself and is all about personal empowerment. So your question doesn't apply to me, I think you're trying to target very religious Christians with this one? Why bother, be happy that they have something to motivate them and give them hope inside. If it doesn't directly hurt you, let it go. I always do, even though many have a problem with my views as well. And if it DOES directly hurt me I address it with the source, not in sweeping generalizations that attack all members of a certain faith. Have a nice winter holiday; good question, made me think.

First in case you have been an Agnostic you does no longer be at a loss for words by ability of any of the broadcast God's (Jesus Allah Ram, Apollo - Agnostic's brush aside all of them out of hand. in case you % to nicely known approximately Agnosticism merely examine what Thomas Huxley has to declare - he invented Agnosticism. See the kind you experience approximately this? "once I reached psychological adulthood, and commenced to ask myself no count number if i became into an atheist, a theist, or a pantheist; a materialist or an idealist; a Christian or a freethinker, i got here upon that the extra I found out and pondered, the fewer waiting became into the respond; till at last I got here to the top that I had neither artwork nor section with any of those denominations, different than the final. the single difficulty wherein maximum of those good human beings have been agreed became into the single difficulty wherein I differed from them. They have been rather valuable that they had attained a undeniable "gnosis"--had extra or much less effectively solved the situation of existence; jointly as i became into rather valuable I had no longer, and had a exceedingly reliable conviction that the situation became into insoluble. And, with Hume and Kant on my component, i could no longer think of myself presumptuous in protecting rapid by ability of that opinion ... So I took concept, and invented what I conceived to be the acceptable identify of "agnostic". It got here into my head as suggestively antithetic to the "gnostic" of Church background, who professed to nicely known lots appropriate to the very issues of which i became into ignorant;" ~ Thomas Huxley That it somewhat is incorrect for a guy to declare he's definite of the purpose fact of a proposition except he grants information which logically justifies that fact. ~ Thomas Huxley Agnosticism is of the essence of technological know-how, no count number if historic or modern-day. I don't believe in a religion (non-denominational) but I do believe in God and abide by what the bible says so I put my faith in God. If we were allowed to do as we pleased, as so many of you are, would it be heaven?

How else could salvation possibly come? Can man save himself? Can he resurrect himself? Can he create a celestial kingdom and decree his own admission thereto? Salvation must and does originate with God, and if man is to receive it, God must bestow it upon him, which bestowal is a manifestation of grace. Salvation is in Christ and comes through his atonement.
Few things are more offensive to God than trusting solely in one's own works, relying upon one's own strength, and seeking to prosper through one's own genius. On the other hand, few things would reveal the shallowness of one's discipleship more than giving lip service to God while avoiding wholehearted obedience. True faith always results in faithfulness, faithful action (see James 2).

I put my faith in my religion because ... I believe it's ... TRUE. Not because it makes me feel good about myself. If it's true, it doesn't matter if I like what it says. Grow up, reality is not always pleasant.

What is messed up is not wanting to receive the love of God that can clean you up, not wanting to learn to love more than you ever have before, not wanting life and more abundant life.
