So you try to fly before you can walk....lets start with the basics....
This is what you should know about Excel formulae:
1) Make sure that from your Excel menu, "View --> Formula Bar" is ticked.
2) In an Excel formula, the desired result H(λ) is not typed out, but will be shown in the cell which you have currently selected when you type the formula.
3) Every variable must be refered to as a cell location, not as an algebraic variable.
4) Every formula starts with and equal sign, if you miss that, your formula will be displayed as text in the selected field.

So lets try something simple:
I have 100 apples. How many will each person get, depending on the number of persons?
I choose that the number of persons (variable!) will be in cell location B2, and the result shall be in cell location C5.
So I click on cell C5, and type into the formula bar = 100/B2 and hit Return. Then whenever I type a number (of persons) into cell B2, I automatically receive the result in cell C5.
So you should get the idea by now.
Decide in which cells you will enter the value for λ, a0, a1, a2, a3, and where you want H(λ) to appear, and off you go....
