at 25.. hard working, good job, great income... but never wants to marry, from good home.. great role models?

Yes. I have 2 single friends who have both adopted children from the Ukraine. I know another single woman who adopted her daughter from Guatemala.

You would have a better chance adopting an older child or taking in a foster and then later petitioning for adoption when/if the parents rights are severed.

Or you can try to adopt outside of the U.S. (like form China or Africa). It might entail some expensive travel for you for a bit, but I do know a woman who is adopting from Russia right now (two little girls who are sisters... ages 2 and 4).

Many people only want newborn babies. You might have to adjust your expectations ... and I'm sure you'll be able to adopt.

most agencies will not let single women adopt. however if you want to make a difference in childrens lives you can foster.

a friend of mine who is divorced looked into adoption and she was basically told they "prefer" adoptive couples, but its worth a shot! Good Luck
