General life:

It’s amazing how much “mature wisdom” resembles being too tired.

If you don’t like yourself, you can’t like other people.

Your enemy is never a villain in his own eyes. Keep this in mind; it may offer a way to make him your friend. If not, you can kill him without hate--and quickly.

Everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life, take big bites. Moderation is for monks.

It may be better to be a live jackal than a dead lion, but it is better still to be a live lion. And usually easier.

Moving parts in rubbing contact require lubrication to avoid excessive wear. Honorifics and formal politeness provide lubrication where people rub together. Often the very young, the untraveled, the naive, the unsophisticated deplore these formalities as “empty,” “meaningless,” or “dishonest,” and scorn to use them. No matter how “pure” their motives, they thereby throw sand into machinery that does not work too well at best.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects!

Not so much inspiring, more absolutely fantastic: "Do not put statements in the negative form. And don't start sentences with a conjunction. If you reread your work, you will find on rereading that a great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading and editing. Never use a long word where a diminutive one will do. Unqualified superlatives are the worst of all. De-accession euphemisms. If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is. Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky. Last, but not least, avoid cliches like the plague." - William Safire

I like this one:- "God is not dead but alive and well and working on a much less ambitious project"

When my baby sister came home from school aged 4 she recited this for me and when I think about it, it always makes me smile:- "I wish I was a glow worm. Glow worms are never glum. For how could you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum" She'd learned it in the playground at breaktime. hehehehe

What about Oprah Winfrey's "Every day gives you a chance to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance"

and to finish

"What a beautiful sunny morning. It makes you happy just to be alive doesn't it? We can't let the sun outshine us. We have to beam too", Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005

Hope your day gets better and good luck with exams.

Quotes and poetry are fine but wont help you get your mind off the stress. It will only wollow in your head more. Believe me. Actually I think answering these questions kind of relieve stress. Find some topic that is your strength and give alittle advice of your own. Keeps your mind fresh and you are talking about someone elses problems not your own
