It will be packaged in both languages, thats the law. If you don't speak french then I suppose it will be in english. The only really french places are through Quebec and most of New Brunswick, Northern Ontario and the Eastern shores of Nova Scotia. If you speak french anywhere else they most likely won't have a clue what you are saying.

I lived in Quebec for years and had to readapt my dialect as a consumer. The most recognised way to ask for something is 'Je prendre un...' which is derived from to get or to catch. Such as Je prendre l'autobus, getting the bus. Or Je prendre un sandwich avec un petit salade jardine, svp. Can I have a sandwich & salad. Be sure to always be polite, say thank-you, svp, Quebequois are accustomed to it and it will make your day a lot happier.

If it is something packaged for Canadian consumption it will come in both English And French. Those are the Canadian packaging laws. Usually, English on one side and French on the other. However, depending on what it is, if they are selling it to you as someone outside of the country and it doesn't matter how it is package. So if sold to you and you ordered it in English, it will almost certainly come with a minimum with English.

Contrary to what politicians would have you to believe we speak predominately English in Canada, only Quebec is on it's own when it comes to speaking French.
You will get it in English along with a side bar in french. Everything comes by lingual its the law of the land both languages as they are both considered official should be on what ever you are purchasing.

It will be in whatever language the seller says it is. Canada also sells items in arabic, spanish, italian, mandarin, and a variety of other languages. Canada is very multi-cultural, and produces items in a lot of languages, not just those two.

Both. Almost all candian products come with both labels. We don't all speak perfect french. If the product comes from Quebec, it might have a higher chance of being pure french.

What kind of thing? If you order a book, CD, DVD kind of thing, they would normally make it pretty clear which it is.

If you order anything (other than the above kinds of things) in a package, it should have packaging in both.

If you order a board game, it will probably have instructions in both, but the board itself will probably be in one or the other.
