he is not coming with me, but i read on immigration site if im associated with a criminal it may affect me, his crime was very serious but i have no criminal record and im hard working

Associating with a criminal is very different from being related to one. You choose your associates, you do not choose your relatives. Your brother's record will not affect your application - unless you want to bring him with you.

I don't see why your brother's criminal history should affect you. As long as your's is clean.

I think it depends on the nature of the crime & your nationality. In general I have to say YES.

yes it can affect your immigration,read the immigration website and see if it tells you anything or check with the Australian embassy in your country

This will depend on whether you are Muslim, and whether you have lent a SIM card to your cousin who later tried to blow up an airport.
