There is a guy at my mother's work and she won't shut up about finding something to do about it. She keeps yelling at me to look up something to do about it but I can't find anything. i told her to give him some stuff to make him smell good as a present from anonymous. She says, "It's a funk! It's not even B.O. or dirty feet, it's not any of that. Just a funk." She's annoying. Help me out.

Well, as a coworker he would probably be embarrassed, yet glad that someone pointed it out to him. Most people can't smell their own BO.

From a legal aspect, it's very touchy. Basically, that would be discriminating against someone based upon their bodies natural chemistry... I've seen a case where this happened, the woman sued and won a discrimination lawsuit.

Best thing I can do is that the HR has to discretely ask the offending person about their personal hygiene practices and bring up rules regarding creating an unpleasant working environment. If there is funk based on choice of hygiene practices, then that is something that can be remedied and if not, cause termination. If it really is body chemistry then the best is to remove her from the general population a little.

If its NOT BO or DIRTY FEET, then it must be BUTT JAM. Buy him some TP and put it on his desk, and if you can afford to, buy him some NEW underwear.
