My son is 4 and he has a speech problem. he can only say a hand full of words and can't make sentences. He doesn't have autism or ADHD and I'am very concerned with school starting soon. He can say " I want juice " or" I want to play game" Only things that he enjoys. but he will not hold a conversation. He has a hard time focusing when we try to go over things in repeation. If you ask him to say something he will repeat it but he will not talk unless you ask him to repeat something

That sounds like speech delay. that's what I was told I had. I'd check into speech therapy and be sure he gets a service called LSH as that can be helpful.

Don't be offended or anything, since you do say he doesn't have autism, but it sounds like he has autism. You can't just assume he doesn't. Either way he has some speech and developement issues. Get him checked out. A lot of public schools offer programs for special needs children. Speech therapy would be good too?.

You Should probley get him in to a speach class. Try the schools around you. One of the kids i babysit had i proble like that and his mom worked with the school to help him with his speach. now he can speak well. I did that when i was little so my mom wounldn't give me any thing untill i tried to say is.

sounds like this needs to be checked out. you can have him evaluated free of charge through your school district or easter seals.
