Not sure if there is any connections, but around the same time there was a B17 at the Colorado Springs airport (CJC) which was selling rides.
They had a sign in front of Solo's Restaurant which said "B17 Rides." I would have loved to ridden a B17, but I had to work, and probably couldn't afford the ticket.
Working near the airport I see jets taking off all day. It was totally crazy to see the super slow B17 crawling along at Model T speed.

Is this another conspiracy theory posting? If they were practicing aerial firefighting skills, I would think they would be using something that is actually used - like C-130's. B-29's and B-24's are very obsolete aircraft compared to today's standards.
Most likely, there probably was some airshow in town. We have one that comes to our town every year, and when they arrive, they do fly quite low. Kind like they are announcing their appearance, and advertising the show.

Sounds like the story is not accurate. No planes are allowed to fly that low over a city---500 feet? No way.

I doubt it was a B-29. There is only one B-29 in flying condition; it is part of the collection of the Commemorative Air Force in Midland, Texas.

Well I just spent the last 30 minutes or so trying to find any reports of this incident. Couldn't come up with anything at all.
My best guess is that its just another worthless conspiracy theory.
